webinar faq

By popular demand, we are now able to record webinar sessions for viewing later. You will receive a link and password to view a flash recording of the presentation with your follow-up documentation. The recording will be available for you to view for two busiafter you receive the links. Included in the recording will be the presentation and the full audio. At this time, the video of Kim's talking head is not part of the recording.

How is the webinar delivered?

We use Dimdim, one of the world's top providers. You will be provided with login details well prior to the webinar. hen it's just a matter of getting online, opening a browser, and logging into the webinar.

I'm concerned about the technology. How do I know if I'll be able to view the webinar?

We use Dimdim (www.dimdim.com) for delivery of the webinars. This is a fully-hosted online webinar platform that will allow you to see the presentation, plus audio and video of Kim, without having to download a "viewer" program. It is recommended that you have a download connection of at least 150kbps (that is on the low end of broadband) and an up-to-date flash plugin for your browser.

  • For links to worldwide line speed meters to test your download speed - www.dslreports.com/speedtest?more=1 . Note, there are dozens of links here and you can use any of them. You don't have to use one from your home country. Our recommendation is to try it on 2-3 different speed tests to get a good grip on your speed. If there is an issue, try minimising other major traffic on your line (online gaming, large media downloads, etc)
  • To download the latest Flash plug-in – www.adobe.com
  • If you want to be triple-sure, you can go to www.dimdim.com, sign up, and host your own "webinar" (it's free for just a few people). Invite a colleague adn upload a PowerPoint presentation (any old presentation - this is just a test). If your colleague can see you - assuming you have a webcam - hear you, and see the presentation, you should be just fine for these webinars. If not, you may need to ask your IT people to open the firewall for DimDim or change other settings, then you can retest. The whole testing process should only take a few minutes. Note: This step is probably unnecessary for all but the most draconian security setups.

Can we ask questons?

All webinars are delivered live. You will be able to type your questions into the Dimdim chat console. Kim will be able to view and address them during the presentation.

What if I miss the webinar, my broadband goes down, or I have some other issue? Will I be able to view the webinar later?

We record webinar sessions for viewing later. You will receive a link and password to view a flash recording of the presentation with your follow-up documentation. The recording will be available for you to view for two business days after you receive the links. Included in the recording will be the presentation and the full audio. At this time, the video of Kim's talking head is not part of the recording.

I have a whole team to train. Can we all see the webinar?

Your registration allows for one computer and one internet connection. You are welcome to either crowd around one computer, or better yet, use a data projector and speaker setup to watch it as a group in a meeting room. If you have team members in different locations, each connection will require a separate registration and fee.

You are welcome to share the link to the webinar recording within your organisation. Sharing the webinar recording outside of your organisation - including with consultants - is prohibited.

May we record the presentation?

No, recording the presentation is prohibited. Power Sponsorship will be recording the presentation and you will be provided access to that recording for two business days after the webinar. Downloading or otherwise duplicating the webinar recording is expressly prohibited.

Is there any follow-up documentation?

You will receive a PDF of the presentation, a list of recommended resources, and additional articles and tools.

Do I get a certificate of completion?

We do not offer certificates at this time.
