Welcome to Power Sponsorship! I’m Kim Skildum-Reid and this company is my “thing”.
The Olympics are on and there’s not a lot more for us sponsorship pundits to do or say until it’s over. I can’t say this disappoints me. There has been so much sponsorship-related controversy about these Games, and I’ve done so much commentary in the lead-up, that I’m really ready to think about something else. In that vein, every blog in the past month has been about something other than sport and I really enjoyed writing them.
I've done eight webinars, now, and have had hundreds of attendees representing a huge cross-section of this industry. It's been a lot of fun, and reviews continue to be outstanding - with over 75% rating them as "excellent" and everyone rating them as either "excellent" or "very good". Woo-hoo! Following that success, there are now two more webinars scheduled, so you can benefit from Power Sponsorship training from the comfort of your own office. Better yet, hook up a data projector and train up your whole team! For all of you who know I'm in Australia and concerned about the time change, all webinars will be presented twice to accommodate various time zones.
I've also recently ventured onto Facebook. Okay, so I'm a bit behind, but I'm catching up! We've now started a Facebook community for sponsorship professionals. On Facebook and interested? Look for "Corporate Sponsorship Pros". Not on Facebook? You might want to give it a try. It's important to note that although we started the page, it's really not a Power Sponsorship thing. We want it to be for, by, and about the larger sponsorship community, so jump on and give it a spin!
Finally, after a few fits and starts, we have now managed to put up a broker registry page. Power Sponsorship does not offer brokering, but judging by the number of emails and calls we get about it, we thought it might be a good idea to start a list of brokers. Need a broker or want to be listed, check out the Power Sponsorship Broker Registry!
